Services
French Quarter Footprints offers free, donation-based walking tours designed to bring the Quarter’s history to life. Led by knowledgeable local guides, each tour runs about 90 minutes and covers roughly one mile, stopping at iconic locations including Jackson Square, the French Market, the Riverwalk and the LaLaurie Mansion. Our storytelling mixes architecture, local lore and the people who shaped the neighborhood, all with a family-friendly tone.
Tours depart hourly from 8:00 AM through 8:00 PM. Meeting point: One More Pie (1101 Decatur Street). You can reserve a spot at no cost. Donations at the end of the tour support guide pay and help keep the program running; we receive no government funding. Suggested donation is about $20 per person, but give what you can, everyone is welcome.
Important booking notes: capacity is limited to 28 confirmed guests per session by city code; we maintain a waitlist of up to 7 people to account for cancellations. If a session fills, you may join the waitlist and we will notify you if a spot opens. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in. Walk-ups are welcome if space allows.
Accessibility & what to bring: the Quarter has uneven sidewalks and some cobblestone. If anyone in your party has mobility needs, tell us on the booking form so we can advise. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and check the weather. If you need to cancel, please update your booking so a waitlisted guest can take your spot.
