French Quarter Footprints offers Pick Your Price Walking Tours designed to bring the Quarter’s history to life. There is no upfront cost to join. At the end of the tour, you decide what the experience was worth and contribute accordingly. Led by knowledgeable local guides, each tour runs about 90 minutes and covers roughly one mile, stopping at iconic locations including Jackson Square, the French Market, the Riverwalk, and the LaLaurie Mansion. Our storytelling blends architecture, local lore, and the people who shaped the neighborhood, all delivered in a family-friendly tone.
Tours depart hourly from 8:00 AM through 8:00 PM. Meeting point: One More Pie, 1101 Decatur Street. You can reserve a spot at no cost. At the conclusion of the tour, guests are invited to contribute directly to their guide. Suggested contribution is about $20 per person, but you choose the amount. We receive no government funding, and your support helps keep the program running.
Important booking notes: capacity is limited to 28 confirmed guests per session by city code. We maintain a waitlist of up to 7 guests to account for cancellations. If a session fills, you may join the waitlist and will be notified if space becomes available. Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in. Walk-ups are welcome if space allows.
